Bethlehem Little League typically enters teams in a number of summer “All-Star” tournaments. The tournaments in which we usually participate are listed below. The time frames are always TBD.
Machine Pitch:
(8 year old and under)
Huguenot Invitational - late July
Minors:
(9 to 10 year old)
District 5 Little League – late June
Ashland Invitational (10 year olds) – late July/early August
Majors:
(11 to 12 year old)
District 5 Little League division (11-12 year olds) – late June
Central Chesterfield Invitational - late July
Juniors / Seniors:
District 5 tournament, Juniors division (13-14 year olds) – late June
District 5 tournament, Senior division ( 15-16 year olds) – late June
Team Selection:
All-star teams are selected by the All-star team coaches in conjunction with the league commissioners and are based in part on recommendations from all of the regular season coaches in that division.
To be selected for an all-star team, a player must meet all Little League eligibility requirements, including residency. The player should be available for the entire tournament and a pre-tournament practice period.
Teams generally practice for 2-3 weeks prior to their tournament. Participants are required to pay a small fee to cover the tournament entry fee. All players must play in atleast 50% or more of regular season games.
