BLL Members,

We hope this message finds all doing well and staying healthy.  At this time we know there are a lot of questions about the resumption of normal activities during the COVID-19 restrictions.  We would like to share the efforts of the board of directors towards playing a summer season in 2020.  We remain hopeful in playing a summer season that would be contingent on the guidelines provided by State and local governments.  Our primary responsibility remains the safety of the players, coaches, families, and friends.  With that in mind we, the board of directors, want to open the lines of communication with our league members over the next few weeks.

As the initial period of the Stay-at-Home order may come to an end  June 10th we will likely be hearing how things may be allowed to resume.  The board will evaluate all proposed restrictions and safeguards recommended for the resumption of organized sports.  We will determine if we, as a league, will be able to meet the expectations through our volunteer efforts.  If organized sports are allowed to resume, and we can reasonably meet the safety expectations, we would like to begin our season with a date to be determined as soon as possible.

Once we know more about the possibility of resuming organized sports we will share updates on our efforts to all of you.  We plan on a weekly email over the course of the next few weeks to help us best determine the state of desired participation and possibly seeking suggestions on adhering to expected safety measures.  We are also developing a refund policy, under these unusual circumstances, should the determination to cancel the summer season be necessary.  All options are being considered and we are hopeful to play and enjoy baseball this summer.

Kind Regards,

Bethlehem Little League Board of Directors
